Christmas with DA Friends

Silv's POV

I set up the apartment as neat as I could since my friends left to do more shopping. I haven't told them I'd be doing this, but I made sure to check to see if their schedule was clear. But I told the rest to come. My roommates were Mary and Mayra. I made sure Raf was coming today with Lori and Tom.

Sweets were cooking as I check on the cupcakes I was also making. I really did hope the cookies wont burn, or I might just cry inside. As hours passed, I set up the tables with the desserts and drinks. I invited other people to come as well. "I sure hope Douglas makes it." I muttered, seeing how nice the apartment was, especially the small xmas tree Lori and I bought. I still felt bad we didn't have enough money to get a good tree.

"Silv?" A voice called, coming from the door.

I hurried out of the kitchen and met Mar's curious face. "H-Hi Mar. Umm... Mayra's downstairs right?" I muttered nervously.

"Yes, what's with all the cooking? We're having a party?" Mary looked at me as she smiled by the sweets.

"Well yeah and I haven't told Mayra about the plans changing to Christmas eve heh." I chuckled nervously, scared by my friend's remark.

"Well I don't mind but.. You know how Mayra will be." She gave me a nervous smile, knowing how angry the dark haired girl could be.

"Yeah, but I really wanted us to do something special on Christmas eve and umm.." I couldn't think of anything else to say, but the short dark hair girl came in with some bread as her hair was wet.

"I hate the rain." She muttered annoyed.

"It was raining?!" I pouted, upset that I missed my chance to go for a walk around the block in the rain.

"Yes, I'd figure you'd be the first to notice." She gave me a flat expression, when she placed the bags on the couch, she noticed the food. "What's this?"

"Remember the idea I thought of inviting people over for Christmas eve?" I toyed with my hands as I tried getting my point across to my roommate.

"Yes, and I thought it was at new years." She remark.

"No, I said Christmas eve and the guest will be here soon." I smiled nervously, getting ready for the lecture.

She took a breath as she saw the cake I made, which was sinking on the inside. That thing was not helping my case. "Couldn't you have waited till we came home and helped you with this?"

"Well, I figured that it'll be best if I did it on my own so you can relax and such." I began to mumbled, feeling that stare that only a parent could give.

"I think it looks good! Look, it's very creative." Mar tried to look on the bright side to cheer me up, pointing to the colorful cake that had chocolate frosting to keep the sides intact.

"Well, they are good." Mayra took a cookie and ate it, sadly having it slightly burned on the bottom. After eating it, she went for the milk to take out the after taste.

"Well, again, I'll pay for the pizza when people come." I pointed out, trying to make my roommates happy that they don't have to worry about cooking tonight since I have done it all. I'm also stuck with washing dishes, but that's how I am, never letting my roommates take care of my ideas. "Well, while we wait and the place is clean, we can watch some old Christmas movie." I smiled brightly.

"Oh! I wanna see a Christmas anime special!" Mary waved her hands excitedly.

"Sure, you pick it out Mar and I'll put the grocery's away." I took the bags Mayra brought and placed them away as my friends set up their laptop.

After watching some anime Christmas specials, Lori knocked, dragging all three guys over as I opened the door. "Sorry, had problems bringing Raf here, and Douglas nearly got lost finding this place." The dirty blond smiled nervously.

"Hey it's cool. Nice to see you guys." I gave them all a tight hug. Once they came in, they placed the gifts under the tree as they took off their jackets. As they relaxed a bit, I sat next to them. "Okay, there's some food and pizza will be here soon." I smiled brightly.

"It seems as though we're celebrating the Chinese way of Christmas, except with the tree." Mayra pointed out the tree.

"What you mean?" Lori questioned curiously.

"On Christmas, the Chinese celebrate by eating pizza." Mayra answered calmly.

"Well, we are teenagers and I doubt any of us will try to fix up a turkey." Douglas pointed out with a mellow tone.

"I could do the turkey, but it'll take me forever to get the stuff out of it." I scoff, not enjoying the idea on taking out the intestines of a bird.

"This cake looks like it came back from war." Tom pointed at the cake in a joking matter.

"Yeah, a mini bomb exploded inside." I remark, taking out some cash as I tried to make sure I had enough to pay for the pizza.

"So what pizza are we getting?" Mayra questioned curiously.

"Well, I managed to get a discount at pizza hut, and they are very filling." I answered, losing count and giving up. "Raf, can you count this for me?" I handed him the cash.

He skimmed through it and handed it back to me. "It's ten."

"What? But I had twenty." I began to panicked and started looking around the table. "Where did it, I'm going to kill it." I growled, while still panicking as I searched the table.

"You can't kill a nonliving object Silvia." Douglas muttered in a sarcastic tone.

Mayra let out a sigh and lifted up a pillow, then finding the rest of the money under Mary's computer. "Here, it was hiding from you again." She handed me the cash.

"It's a nonliving object." Douglas remark, Lori playfully hit him on the shoulder.

"You look short." Tom look over my shoulder, counting.

"Ehh... I have some cash in my room." I smiled nervously, not wanting to be a bother.

"Here." Raf handed me a ten. "You can keep the change."

"But, it's yours really." I tried to make an excuse.

"Hey, it's a thank you for cooking all this." Raf shrugged.

Then Tom started to choke on a cookie as Lori began to laugh as she pat his back while Douglas just stared in amusement.

"Yeah, we're going to die by her cooking." Mayra muttered as she tried not to laugh.

After the pizza came back, we all ate up and talk about anything that came up. We laughed, choked on food again and just smiled. Then an idea came. "Hey guys! I have an idea what we can do for fun."

"And that is?" Tom ask as he drank his soda.

"We can cosplay and do a mini skit." I smiled brightly, hoping everyone was on bored.

"Nope, I'll just watch." Mayra protest, as expected.

"Same with me, but we'll be happy to video tape." Douglas remark, taking out his phone.

"I'll dress as Konata!" Lori shouted happily!

"Umm... I'm not sure who to dress up as." Raf muttered, unsure of what to do.

"I wanna dress up as Axel, but how will this skit work?" Mary ask curiously.

"It'll be a crossover and spare of the moment!"" I shouted happily, taking the girls to the room where most of our cosplays are. I dressed up as Alois as Mar and Lori dressed up. When I handed the guys their cosplay,

Tom looked at it curiously. "So I'm Sora?"

"Yup, and Raf will be Eren from Attack on Titan." I smiled happily.

"Well, I like the outfit." Raf took a glance at it.

After minuets of helping the guys into their cosplay, we were ready to fool around.

"Now! Axel! You'll be my new butler for now." I smiled evilly to Axel.

"Gah, fine, but I found my ice cream as payment." Axel pouted as he glanced at the other guys.

"Umm... I just noticed, Lori is the only one dressed as an actual girl." Douglas pointed out as he chuckled.

"Yeah that's true." Mayra laughed, watching us on the couch.

"Come on Mayra, join us please?" Konata pouted, having her blue hair sway side to side.

"No." She replied.

"Mayra! Mayra! Mayra!"  We all cheered until she gave in and changed into her Canada cosplay.

"Ha! This guy will also be my servent!" I yelled, pointing to the man holding a polar bear.


"B-B-But I don't want-"

"You have no choice in the matter!" I shouted, ignoring the Canadians protest.

"Umm.. What am I suppose to do with these?" Eren question with the two swords he held in his hand.

"You must fight Axel and Sora! But my Axel cannot lose!" I shouted, feeling supreme as ever.

"I shall win." Axel smiled proudly as Sora had already started the battle. We continued to play as night came. Once the night had come, we exchanged gifts
and hugs, knowing how much we all cared for one another.

"How about you guys spend the night and we open our gifts tomorrow morning?" I ask, not wanting them to have trouble going home tonight.

"I'm cool with it. Guys?" Lori smiled to the guys as she took off the blue wig.

"Yeah, it'll be fun." Tom smiled faintly as he took a seat next to Douglas.

"And we can watch some scary movies." Douglas suggested.

"Let's do it!" I shouted happily as they laughed. I'm glad they were enjoying their selves. I really wanted this Christmas to be special, especially since we're all together.
